Fifa 12: “Best Fifa Ever”
That’s the initial thought from Wayne Rooney let us know his opinion on EA SPORTS upcoming FIFA 12 title. Needless to say the comment was very complimentary but he also revealed that he’ll be recording the FIFA 12 advert at the end of this month too, which suggests that the FIFA 12 bandwagon is firmly in motion.
“Filming new TV ad for FIFA 12 end of this month. Trust me this will be best FIFA game ever”
What do you guys think? Is he just hyping up the game or is there credibility behind it?
I love fifa every year i buy it when it comes out um for fifa 11 it was pretty good but ithink they could make it better i hope fifa 12 gets new stadiums more leagues and teams and better grafics and a really life story manger mode better built iwant to see the players that are in the bench to see them worming up
I have enjoyed fifa 11 as much as the next football fan, you always need to upgrade the gameplay however to keep people buying the product, and for me these few things are a must and wouldnt take long to program into the game.
firstly. the spanish league. The way this league is decided if two or more teams are on the same amount of points is not by goal difference, its by WHO WON OR GOT MORE POINTS IN THE GAMES BETWEEN THE TEAMS. this annoyed me as i completed a season on level points and beat the “champions” both times i played but lost out on the title as it went by other league rules, so by the SPANISH LEAGUE FIFA 11 and prior FIFA’S ARE WRONG.
second. THE OFFSIDE RULE. a previous fifa game back in the 90′s had an option to have the referee as nomal, strict or blind. the offside rule in the last few fifa’s have been to the t. even if you were just the slightest bit offside you are flagged off. BRING AN OPTION FOR DIFFERENCES OF THE LINESMAN RULE. its fustrating the only option you have is to turn the offside rule off or on and thats it. still to do with offside, YOU CANNOT BE OFFSIDE IN YOUR OWN HALF OR FROM A THROW IN, yet in fifa again this does not apply. FIX THE OFFSIDE EA.
third. PASSING AND SELECTING PLAYERS. this has been a problem in every fifa game, but here is a simple solution, automatic selection from one player to another in defensive mode, select the player ahead of the ball and not zonal near the ball where you have to run while your closer defender is just running alongside the opposing player. and passing, you can control where the ball goes when you shoot yet when you pass sometimes it goes to the most rediculous player even if you direct it to the most forward player. also when you PASS THE BALL TO A PLAYER, HE STOPS AND ANTICIPATES IT. unless you plat a long or through ball he wont run onto it. he stops.
fourth. many people are saying DIVING SHOULD BE BROUGHT BACK, i agree, the amount of players that dive in the game is incredible, and other rival football games have this feature. it should be back.
fifth. in season mode as manager you should be able to buy FREE AGENTS outside of the transfer window. IT WAS IN FIFA 10. bring it back, that annoyed me it was taken out. and get rid of the calender, waiting for other games to be simmed takes too long sometimes and ruins gameplay.
sixth. for player mode, you should include a mini training system to help improve your player. AND HAVE A SAY IN WHAT CLUBS YOU WOULD LIKE TO PLAY FOR IN career mode, not just these clubs are interested. HAVE AN AGENT IN IT AND HAVE AN OPTION FOR CLUBS YOU WOULD LIKE TO PLAY FOR IN FUTURE SEASONS. also you should bring back upgrading facilities as in FIFA 10.
seventh . PROFESSIONAL FOWL. i know it is in the game slightly but an improved version should be applied. something LIKE HOLDING ONTO PLAYERS OR USING AN ARM TO DRAG THE PLAYER BACK.
eight and last. BRING BACK INDOOR FOOTBALL. it was a great option in FIFA97. now thats a long time ago. bring it back EA.
I have enjoyed fifa throughout the years and the differences between 10 and 11 were mostly improvements apart from what i have stated. i am looking forward to FIFA 12 but if these few little tweaks are not included, ( dont mind about the indoor football, thats just being greedy) then this new fifa wont be up to scratch with other rival games, and i want fifa to be tops! thanks for reading and i hope you take into consideration about these must need improvements.
Not only the offside rule but also handballs, I just wish they could fix it so that it’s only a handball when the players arm is up. It’s stupid that if you have it off it can touch their arm at any angle, and if it’s turned on then it’s an immediate handball wether or not their hand was by their side. It just seems silly that they haven’t been able to sort this out.
